Well, we're about a month away from the annual Historics. Time to announce the yearly caravan to the corral at turn 5.

On Saturday August 14, we meet at the Barnyard Shopping Center in Carmel Valley (just off hwy 1 south of carmel) Here's a link to a map.

Meet between 8:30 am and 9:00 am. Bring your FRS/GMRS radios, channel 7, subch 00. We leave for Laguna Seca at 9:00 am. Bring your tickets and corral pass. I may have a few extra passes from Mike for those who might need them.

I also have a pair of FRS radios/chargers for sale. SOLD.

I tell you, DAWS and I have a problem with communication, that is why you guys will be better off without me bringing up the rear in the caravan this year. Just last weekend several of us went to lunch in Monterey and DAWS told me everyone was down the steps and to the right. Of course, everyone was down the steps and to the left, you know, the other right.

I have just finished making all the arrangements and am only missing one thing, a corral pass. Just wondering if there is anyway of getting one.

I see that you guys will be meeting around Carmel and leaving about 9:00 AM. I don't know what time that I'll be comming through but I will be comming through Carmel.

I am not that familiar with the area, I'll be coming from Huntington Beach, So. California. Friday night I am staying in Lucia, a little ways south of Big Sur. I'm not sure just how long it will take to reach the Carmel area.

I would appreciate any help I might get.

Mapquest calls it 50 miles from Lucia to Carmel. I would give it a good hour and a half at least.
