I'm in and it's about time, the old gang is back. I think Fido is becoming too domesticated and needs a shot of good old exhaust fumes.

Another rumor I heard (actually, I think I started it) is that Fido is trading in his C5 on a Windstar. There is a further rumor that he may put on Corsa look-alike tailpipe tips on the Windstar for old time sake. Karen will neither confirm nor deny these rumors, and Fido, whose credibility in any event is suspect, refuses to comment other than by saying "WAZZUP?"

Well I didn't get a chance to preview the proposed route last weekend. So now we have to make a decision. We could either just go for it and see how it goes (winging it with a bunch of Vettes is not a good plan in my book) or fallback on a previous route. Another option is to combine a couple of our previous cruises. I have an idea that I could easily lead that would take us through Palomar to Julian.

Ideas??

It sounds good to me, when would this be?
I'd be interested.

Steve

I'm a newbie, never even been on a Corvette cruise. I'd be interested when you work out the details.

Well, at least one of us fulfilled his responsibilities [img]http]//www.corvetteforum.cc/ubb/biggrin.gif[/img] I dragged Dale down to Temecula for lunch at Rosa's, and then I scouted around. Jerry, you've got mail.

Jerry....
How the "newly weds" doin'??? Patricia & I are hoping to make your "run". The wife and I are lookin forward to meeting the new "Mrs. Yello2K"

With the summertime temps inland from S.D. running probably well into the high 90's.... perhaps IF you don't already have a "route" selected, may I "suggest" an ocean route.

I realise there will be more traffic, but the trade off is the cooler ocean breezes.

Perhaps build the run around a picnic on Coronado Island???

Just an IDEA.

Take care......be safe!

Jerry, are you talking about a cruise this weekend, next, or when? I'm in if on the 28th or 29th. Afternoon is good.

Things are starting to shape up. Allan and I are talking about Palomar to Santa Ysabel. Since we didn't really get a chance to fully preview and map a route we are going to be a little seat of the pants but this is in areas I am pretty familiar with so it shouldn't be a problem.

Usually our runs are in the morning. I'm proposing afternoon one this time in order to bring my wife and prove the rumors that she doesn't exist to be untrue! How does the group feel about meeting up in the early afternoon (around 1PM) in the Temecula/Fallbrook area right off the 15?

To clarify, the ride will be this coming Sunday, July 15. It looks like a two-parter. The tentative plan is for the LA Boyz to meet up at the Ontario Mills Mall usual jump-off point around 10ish, and then make our way (off-freeway for a spell) to meet Jerry and the gang near Temecula for a 1pm continuation. For now, hold the date and get ready to start your engines. More info to follow (you don't want details too far in advance, do you?).
