Saturday the 18th works for me (one of the few Saturdays I have off). I only have a thermostat change and IAT install, but I'm pretty handy around C-5's if anyone else needs help with a little "grunt" work. :D

Where is the best place here in town (Houston) to pick up a colder thermostat? What is the going price? Depending on what everyone wants to do, I may do a thermostat install.

You can get one at COH, but unless you do programming, it does nothing.

Thanks John. Any thoughts on the benefit? What programmer and how much? I just installed a Hypertech Power programmer on Cherl's new Tahoe yesterday and am dissapointed. The one thing I did not do is go to a colder thermostat. Even without it, I expected good results based on previous experience with a pickup truck. I programmed it for 93 octane fuel and firmer shift points. Went out and ran a good friend in an identcial Tahoe, with almost exactly the same miles on it. Repeated runs from both a dead stop (to 100MPH), and from a variety of kick down speeds resulted in a dead heat. We could have reached out and held hands.
Not sure what to do next with it, and really don't care to spend the money on another one for the Vette unless someone has good input on this.

Planning at my house - looks like the 18th. I live in the Clear Lake area.
Please let me know who is going to attend. I'll e-mail directions and my phone number to everyone who plans to attend. Also, let me know what mods you want to either make, or look at on other cars that may show up. When I get some feed back , I'll get more specific on arrangements. I have lots of tools, a floor jack - but not one of those fancy ones on the post - I'm still on the fence on that one. I have air tools, boards to drive up on for about 3.5" of lift, and can get more boards to go up a little higher.
PLEASE SEND RESPONSES.

John, I'm going to look into the low profile jack today, but don't know if it will show up in time. I have no doubt we can accomodate you though, and I'm pretty good at that type of wrenching.
By the way, would everyone prefer my wifes world class pecan pie or carrot cake?
