Re: Car Show in The Woodlands October 27th (JWSchmidt3)
Personally, the longer lead time I have on events that I plan on attending, the better. I think someone complaining about this needs a diaper change. :smash: . BTW, the event IS a car show (isn't that what we are all about?) with a side benefit to some neady folks. To those of you who think this is spam, maybe you need to do a little reading about net etiquette and see that spam is unwanted junk mail, just like you receive in your mail box daily through the USPS.Just my $.02

This looks like a good time to ask what "ttt" means?
It's a cheasy way to bring attention to a post no one is interested in and stick it back at the top of that board to clutter the posts people actually care about. :troll

Wish I were a little closer to Texas, sounds like a good show for a very worthy cause.

Wow, thanks to all!
Sometimes we forget how fortunate we are and gripe about the most trivial of items. Seeing communities reach out and helping each other can restore one's faith in people. :yesnod:

1980LT1,
To bad I live so far away. Sounds like a great show
Take plenty of pictures and post them here and the C3 forum.
The Meals on Wheels Program is a great organization. Good Luck!!

Not really show-related, but worth sharing nevertheless. A co-worker and I created this as a tribute to those affected by this tragic event. Copy and send to your friends and family, if you wish. This one's on me. ;)
Special thanks to Ken73 and Doughan for their help on this.

BTW, 1980LT1, interesting combo on your car. I like the LT1's in earlier model year Vettes. Hope to see you at the car show

Re: Car Show in The Woodlands October 27th (HWoods)
Thanks. Always liked the styling of the 80-82 sharks but I couldn't take the anemic motors. It's a blast to drive especially with surprise factor. I get picked on alot since it sounds totally stock at a stoplight.
I will be there bright and early and forecast bodes well for us. The show should run the gamut of cars including my friends 1,000 HP (roughly) Nova that he'll trailer up there to rods and street machines. One of the larger car dealership owners has pledged to bring 3 or 4 'concourse' show cars... we may have to separate these to prevent fingerprints. :D
See ya there, bud. :)

I will be bringing my 67 and my 97 the way it looks now. If my 90 gets done by COH then I'd like to find a way to bring that too. If you are adult, corvette savvy and willing, please email me about arranging to meet at my house and drive them over together. (Holding your car hostage of course...you can park in my driveway). We'll leave right after the awards are presented. I've got a party to go to in Austin that night.
Please email me if you can help. Someone please save me 3 spots in a row near JW!! :D

Looks like I may be there Snowman. I'll save you a couple of spots. I'd like some of the leftover attention that your cars will surely get.
Funny that JW never shows up when there is real competition or at judged shows.

Glad to see you finally stopped considering yourself "real" competition. I have events with the SHCC which were planned out in advance, not to mention preferred. My car is not a "judged show" type car, so I don't enter them. I drive mine, so it gets dirty. You should try it some time.

I'm also glad to see that you really don't consider your car show worthy. It seems that you actullay do have a lucid thought once in a while. As far as it being too dirty to be judged, there is such a thing as "cleaning it". I'd think with all the time on your hands you'd be able to do that.
I still look forward to competing against you in a real show. How about Autorama?
