you can pretty much do all that at temple on test n tune nights already . i have run 12.4, no helmet, no tech, nothing, show up and drive. you could drive nekkid there and they wouldn't care

Have you ever run there? The left lane is notoriously slippery with street tires. Hallsville would be a lot better if anybody could swing it. Of course Ennis is the best IMHO. :yesnod:

I've been there many times in the past. The restrictions are very relaxed, but the track is horrible. It's an old stretch of highway with some grand stands. River City Raceway in Seguin is a first rate facility, and they are not as strict as Ennis. That's where our local Austin group goes all the time(including SW's ZO7). He ran the 9.98 time at that track and the car doesn't have a roll cage. Just my $.02 ;)

I wonder if there are any other tracks that might be central for guys from Houston, DFW, Austin, San Antonio. Could probably get a good size group from Houston. Just picture it - a real Houston vs Dallas shoot out for bragging rights!

As the RAT guessed, it's about 150 miles from Carrollton. But traffic between here and Austin is often a zoo, so be prepared for bumber-bumper style driving all the way there. :(
