I am looking for an extremely reliable place in DFW area, to get my windows tinted on my c6. I want a good job, a place that is going to take the extra effort on the dot matrix.. so that it does not look like crap on the rear window. I am looking to do 20% all the way around, although I am not sure what the legal limit on the side windows is anymore? If anyone has been to some place and recomends it, please do tell! Thanks so much!
I think legal on the side windows is 35% - not sure though. I've heard (according to a several vette guys at the Seargents GTG) that EZ's tint, south of 20 on Cooper does a good job.
hmm, I'll try to check them out. I am just looking for people who have gotten it done on their c6, and have had no problems. If anyone has pictures too, that would be great. I just want to make sure I get it done right.
Shades Window Tint on Pipeline (in Hurst) have done 4 of my cars and vans. Only one of them have the dots you speak of (to dark to go look closely at it right now though). I have been happy with the jobs they have done for me.
Funny thing is, I haven't even thought of having my vette tinted yet (guess I want everyone to see ME driving it ).
You might go to Seargents this Fri. (if you have time) and see if some of the guys with tint are there.
I do know that here in Tx. 35% is the darkest allowed on the side windows . Can go as dark as you want on the back.
how does the rear window look? I got my GTO done at earmark, but I wasn't to happy with it... I think the dot matrix was a little more extreme on the gto though... do you have any pics?
