Sam Houston Corvette Club has about 14 cars signed up for all three days. We will be leaving from north of Houston friday morning. I have been there eight of the last nine years. It is always a great time.

I have never been to this event. I will probably go out on Sat. to check things out. What are the Sunday track event details. I see they have several events but I cannot see any information about vehicle requirements (except ins.), etc.

Ahhhhh I've been wondering who was the other Z16 last year may have been.. was that you?

And I very much plan to be there.. need new tires first, hurry-up job on Thursday afternoon..

Edit: first-timers, I was there last year and had a blast .. but here's some things that may enhance your experience:
1. Sunblock
2. Chair(s) w/ umbrella/parasol
(even with a breeze, gets hot on black tarmac)
3. Cooler w/lots of cold drinks
4. prep your car if you plan to run any of the driving events (brakes, tires, fluids)
5. Have a full tank of gas
6. Box, bag, or something to stash your stuff in while running events

The Saturday Car Show (11:00 am - 4:00 pm) is open to the public right? In other words, it is free isn't it?

Where do we park to go to the car show??

I have only been there on Sundays and never had the opportunity to make it to the car show until this year!

Yes, it is free to the public for viewing. Parking is free also and is outside of the gated entrances to TMS. (We usually have a bunch of gates open (2-6 last year).

There are cars, vendors, and some of the snack bars open. Last year Dick Guildstrand did a speaking presentation.

Do I need to pre-register for the car show or can I just show up and drive in? I don't care about awards, is there a non-judged category? Sounds like fun!
Thanks,
Nick

There is a judged class, and a Show-N-Shine class that is participant vote. If you don't want it voted on at all, don't put your the card with your number on it on your windshield.

The weather looked a little scary this morning (thought it was going to rain) but it is starting to clear up and I am getting ready to leave for the car show in about an hour

Hope to see everyone there
