Default Help a guy out?

Hi,
I'm Bob Bess from Vancouver Washington. We're just across the Columbia River from Portland Oregon.

I'm considering the purchase of a white 01 Z06 from an outfit called Northeast Motor Company - 2402 Pat Booker Road San Antonio, TX 78148. Are any of you familiar with these folks? Anybody care to drop by and let me know what you think of the car? It's a couple thousand miles or I'd go look it over for myself! If this all works out, I'll probably fly in and drive the car home. Maybe I could return the favor by buying a lunch or dinner before making the trip home.

I know it's a lot to ask, but I'd sure appreciate it if anyone would like to help me out!

Thanks everyone!

Bob B.

Send a PM to Peter Pan. He lives over that way.

If I can make it out there tomorrow, I will. But weather and traffic haven't been on our side the last few weeks...

Hey Bob,

Tracy here in San Antonio. I'm a personal friend of the owner of Northeast Motors. What I can tell you is is that Bill doesn't deal in crap. I have a business meeting this evening but on my way home, I can stop by and look at the car. This will probably be after hours but I can at least get a look at the exterior. The soonest I might be able to go look at the interior would be this Saturday. Steve (peter pan) also knows Bill and might be able to get over there to look at it sooner than Saturday. I will stop this evening and get back to you either way.

Tracy

That's VERY good to know! Most of the other dealers on Pat Booker are closer to the Buy Here, Pay Here end of the spectrum...

Bob, I would be more than happy to go look at this Vette for you. I will take some shots of it to for you and send them. I also know Bill the owner very well and he usually gets some nice cars. Please let me know and I will go test drive the Vette for you.

Thanks everyone!

George, for priming the pump.
Tracy and Steve for any help you can provide.

I asked Bill to email me some better pictures a day or two ago, and to let me know his bottom line on the car. He's not yet responded. Maybe he's sold it already? The White cars dont seem to stay on the market as long as some of the other colors.

Here's a link to the ad: http://www.autotrader.com/fyc/vdp.js...0&cardist=1110

I know it's a long one, but cut and paste it, it works.

Once again, I appreciate the help!

Bob Bess.

Bob, I can still go on Saturday, just let me know, this evening it rained very hard and supposed to again tomorrow, not good Vette test driving weather for me. I will put the baby through her paces to ensure no missing an entire drive train is sound along with a close look at the body, from the auto trader pictures it does look clean, but then in person will tell the whole story.

Bob,

I went to look at the car this evening. They were closed already but I got a good look at the car. Rims aren't gouged so it hasn't been up against anything. Ran my fingers around the back edge of the hood, no rough spots. All the body lines seemed to line up right. The interior wasn't trashed, as best as I could tell looking thru tinted windows. Has Kumho Ecsta MX runflats that will be in need of replacement. Looked up underneath as best I could, nothing detrimental there either. Very few, if any, nicks or whatnot. Pretty nice car as far as I can tell. We'll let Steve take a look and see what he thinks. I took some pictures. Let me know how you want me to get them to you.

Oh and I just want you to know something. You might have instigated me to spend more money. Bill also has an 06 Yellow Z06 there also. I saw that car and things started going thru my head man. Bad things man.
