Feline Help Please!
The reason I am asking for whatever help you can provide:
My wife and I are animal lovers and she will go out of her way to protect and help any that she can. She helps feed ferral cats that live around stores and what not. Well one night after dinner in a parking lot we saw a kitten hiding under a car. We put some food out and worked on catching him to get him fixed and shots. after releasing him back out he disappeared after a week. then a couple weeks went by and a friend saw him again and we found that he had a eye problem so we trapped him again and took him to a vet. It was determined that he had gotten his eye punctured and his jaw broke. We found a Rescue place that was willing to take him in and give him a safe home with other cats and the owner's husband is a vet. The place is Shadow Cats Rescue and their website is http://www.shadowcats.net/
We got to talking to the owner yesterday about how the cat was doing and he is great and having a great life now. It turns out that the Rescue is having to close its adoption center down due to several months of $1000s out lay of their own pockets. This Rescue group only survives on donations and their own pockets. Well all the cats at the adoption center are going to end up at the humane society very quickly if they can not find foster homes or permanent homes for these cats. My wife and I are going to be adopting 2 and trying to get a friend to take two more.
We feel in our hearts that this Rescue group help us save a life that we are going to return the favor. So I am asking you to consider helping anyway you can: be it donation of food, supplies, or money, adopting a cat as a pet, or becoming a foster home. Please I am doing what I feel I can any way possible. If you contact them mention that you got this information from Ray and Leslie.
