Default Vegas Vettes

The end of August we will be traveling to Vegas for "Corvettes Roulette". After the show we want to travel thru Yosemite and then to Tahoe. Can anyone suggest a nice scenic route from Vegas. By the way, were traveling from Minnesota, so if some of you local Vegas vette owners see a 07 Monterey Red convertible with the licience H82BU who looks like were lost, we probably are.

Hey - 07,

Glad to hear you're making it to town. If you're here over a weekend - and don't get to tied up at the "Roulette" deal, check us out. Look at our "sticky" up in the top section above.

BTW - can't ge lost out here - shucks - there's no trees, no green and no mosquitoes here - just flat, brown and hot. All you need to remember is that most all of the major east/west and north/south streets are a mile apart and pretty much run forever.

Have fun while you're here - we'll be looking for you!!

also each major street in vegas are named after casino's, so if you ever get lost, just find a casino street and it will take you straight to the hotel (ex. sahara ave., flamingo road, Tropicana avenue...etc they all go east/west.)

TTT for your event.

Somewhat amusing that Vegas NV and Houston TX are in the same section.

I sure wish I could attend!

Exactly what i thought. Seems to me Texas is in the South and Nevada is in the Southwest. Oh well. No mosquitoes. Sweet. Hot, Sweet. You do have palm trees. Can't wait to take off on the 28th of August. We will be in Vegas Thursday pm for 5 days. Sin City, we will look ya up if we have time.

I think the drive trough Death Valley and then up to Yosemite is a nice drive. You can start through Parhump (maybe even stop at the Sprint Mountain Motorsports Park), head through Death Valley, then up 395 to Lone Pine for some excellent Pizza at the Pizza Factory (it is owned by a Corvette Forum member) and then off to Yosmite.

If you have any questions, feel free to PM me.

I will probably be taking your advice and go thru Death VAlley and then Yosemite. After Yosemite were off to Reno/Tahoe and it looks like then we will have to doubleback or come across the mountains a little further north? Looks like several options. I may pm you later or email you for a more in-depth discussion on a specific route. Sounds like you are familiar with the area. Thanks for the info VegasRed.
Also were staying at the Orleans Casino. Secure enclosed parking i hope.
