Not to steal Scott's thunder from his well-earned trophy but, I got ran off the road this morning on Riverside. Going 50mph and a guy came into my lane. I swerved to try to avoid him and hit a curb square on. Popped my tire, bent the lip of my rim, destroyed my front fascia, and we'll find out the rest of the damage as I try to piece it all back together. Rudi, at Corvette Specialties, had an extra bumper so he's painting it and it should be ready when I get back from Denver next weekend. The whole thing makes me sick

Sounds like it was a good thing you bought some wheels.

Sorry to here the bad news. I know Rudi will take care of you, he has done some paint and maint for me b4. Now you have an excuse to put those Z06 wheels on.
it sounds like you have it taken care of. But I have a set of wagon wheels in the attic if you need one.
I might take you up on that. I was planning on just using the Z06 wheels for track tires so I could keep the runflats since this is my daily driver. I'll have to see if the rim will hold air.

I checked that radiator cradle and half of it is just gone. It broke half way across the radiator and the bolts ripped out of the frame. I'll need to figure out what I'm going to secure the bolts to when I replace the cradle.
I tried to take pictures but just didn't have the heart.
Jason go look at Chads car and lets get a parts list going. I have a 17" wagon that will hold but its pretty ugly. It will get you rolling again. Let me know if you need my truck for some parts runs.

I may need it when I pick up the new fascia. I got the old one to fit in the back seat of the Maxima but it stuck out the windows and I don't know if I can do that with the undamaged one. If Jason comes by, I'll have him look at the wheel and see if he thinks it'll hold air.

Yeah. I leave Saturday afternoon and get back next Saturday night. I have pretty well dismantled as far as it will go until I get the new parts in next week. Once I get a parts list together, I'll get everything ordered before I leave so it will all be here when I get back.
Anybody know where I can send a friend to clean up a set of aluminum heads, valve job, set valve heights, etc? He has all the parts, just needs a good machine shop.

I am not familar with the guys in Tulsa, but if your friend doesn't mind a drive, Boyds in norman does good work.

He has the cleanest shop I have ever seen. I have several friends that have swapped to him instead of other machine shops they have used for years. No BS!
I'll ask the same question I always ask when something breaks. Is there an upgrade to something that can be done while I'm doing this work? (Tigershark fascia aside)
Thanks for the machinist recommendation Chris. I passed it along.
