About 6-8 tentative attendees from HPD.com to be added to this list.
Houston Gran Prix has been canceled and so, we can not do the SCCA and Corvette Corral stuff that we were planning on doing there. LETS DO ANOTHER CORVETTE CRUISE ON THAT SUNDAY!!!
The last one was an absolute blast, and many have been dying to go on another one.
PLEASE POST ON THIS THREAD IF YOU WOULD BE INTERESTED IN ATTENDING. There are no requirements or memberships necessary to attend this drive. Your corvette or other high-power/rare car is your ticket in. It will be mostly Corvettes, so your bud's Mustang might feel out of place.
SUNDAY, APRIL 27th, 2008 barring bad weather. Rain date for back-up will be May 4th. BAD WEATHER ENCOUNTERED. CRUISE MOVED TO RAIN DATE.
Meetup point IS NOT THE SAME AS LAST TIME. The new one is the massive parking lot at University of Houston right next to the REC center. If you are coming down I-45 past downtown, take the Spur 5 exit (its right after the Cullen Dr Exit), and take it down to the first light. Turn right at the first light and the lot is the huge one on your right. We'll meet up around 9:30 am and leave at 10 SHARP. Please be on time, because we don't want to loiter there for too long and make UHPD mad.
Also - here's a quick tip - take the Spur 5 exit quite slow, and stick to the left shoulder as you go onto spur 5 where it goes slightly up because that part is flatter, and shouldn't scrape as you go over it.
Tentative Route Information
Planned by DJ'sZ. It is east to Crystal Beach and back to Houston. If you want it, PM him or me, and you can have it PM'd back to you.
Safety Information
A) No Racing Please
B) Keep the N20 bottles closed and keep the boost on low (if you're f/i).
C) Please use signals at all times.
D) Seat belts at all times.
E) Please keep control of your passengers.
F) Mind your speed at all times. Keep it safe!
G) You are responsible for your own safety as well as that of your passengers'. Please drive safe.
H) Don't forget your driver's license and insurance papers!
I) If we're on a 2 lane highway, lets try and keep our entire group in 1 lane, so that we don't have people getting lost and missing turns. Also, that way, we don't get in the way of crazy drivers we may encounter.
J) No one apart from yourself is responsible for what you do or cause on this drive.
Feel free to bring passengers and cameras! This event will be a completely rice-free event. If you have friends with nice high-horsepower/rare cars, please welcome them too. The more the merrier! Other things to bring might include sunscreen, sunglasses, radar detector, GPS, water, hot babes, some cash, and maybe even a cooler.

If you are looking for a good place for lunch you should try this place in Crystal Beach before you get on the Boliver ferry. Our C3 club has made that same cruise and we stopped here and the food was great!

Well my Pace Car is in the shop getting painted so I cannot go. I may ride shotgun with one of the guys if they go? I will post a link on our website for those that might want to go. A couple of them have c5's for back up cruisers!

Awesome guys! I'll be putting together a list of people who will be attending and posting it up on the first thread as it gets closer to the meet time. That way, we'll know how many to expect, and if we need to call ahead to make reservations at the restaurant on Crystal Beach

I had a good time on the last one......
Hopefully my car will be out of the shop by then.... If it is, I'll be there.
Got nailed by a guy from south of the border that was driving with no drivers license or insurance.
At least the damage is just cosmetic... I plan on doing some body mod's while it's in the shop.

Did it mess up your hood too on the leading edge?
Hope you can make it. If the car isn't done in the next month, I'm sure Craig wouldn't mind letting you go shotgun w/ him. But where's the fun in that, right?

If any of you plan doing ANY 'spirited' driving...I'd make the map of the route go away...We're found up here in Dallas area that that is just an invitation to have the DPS and Cops along the route set up and waiting for you to come thru...We send it to someone if they ask, but they never do...Just a thought anyhow, you guys have FUN!...
