DFW cruise to Possum Kingdom Lake (July 26th)
Dallas/Fort Worth area cruise to Possum Kingdom lake via the twisties of Hwy 4.
Date: Saturday, July 26, 2008.
Place: we will be meeting at Rosa's Tortillia Factory (Parking Lot) in Hurst between 9:45 and 10:00 am. will leave ~ 10:15 am and should be heading back by mid afternoon (~3pm).
Rosa's is located at the (northeast corner) intersection of Precinct Line Rd. and Hwy 26 (Grapevine Hwy).

for those of you not familiar with PK lake, its 75 miles west of downtown Forth Worth. its a very nice place and the roads leading up to it like Hwy 4 and 16 are very scenic with lots of twisties and elevation changes.

talked with the manager and they will be able to accomodate us and parking is good as well. i just need to call them the day of the cruise and let them know the exact head count.

90% of the above list is comprised of C6 Z06 owners so i think we can now open it up to other vettes. as long as your vette is reliable and in good working order, it should be fine. this is more of a sports car route so older/classic vettes are probably not a good fit.
for logistical reasons we're limited to about 35 entries so if you know you want to join us, let me know and i will add you to the list. thanks

90% of the above list is comprised of C6 Z06 owners so i think we can now open it up to other vettes. as long as your vette is reliable and in good working order, it should be fine. this is more of a sports car route so older/classic vettes are probably not a good fit.

we're still 18 days out but i wanted to share a cool story with you guys. would you believe someone bought a vette to join our cruise?
Michael is more into european cars (he owns a bmw x5 and audi a6) but wanted to come along with us as a passenger for this cruise. that was the plan anyways.
he showed up yesterday out of nowhere with a beautiful black C6 grining ear to ear. i guess he had to see for himself what the fuss was all about
he is not a forum member so i will add his first name to the list above. i think we have a convert

LOL, I wish it was a week or so later, as I'm having the white stripes painted on the car, and don't know that I will have it back by then If I do, I would definitely come for this!
