Diminishing value?
Are there any auto insurance gurus out there?
Last night I was side swiped by a guy who failed to maintain his lane. He scratched the entire driverside of my car. He gave me his insurance info and I called this morning to start a claim. I am curious to know if his insurance is responsible for the loss of value that my car has for it now having a "carfax" blemish? My car is an 01 Mag red with 33k so it was extremely clean. The damage on the fenders is mostly paint but I have a bit of fiberglass damage around the door handle and rear qp.
Any info would be much appreciated and a recomendation for a top notch body shop in the Houston area is welcome.
