Like the idoit I can sometimes be, when hellcat helped me with my shifter install and console base change out a few weeks ago, I didn't change out the console lock. So I had to take it apart again to change out the lock. I did and the new console base is back in with the emblem in place. Might not seem like a big deal to most of you but, a few years ago I would panic even walking toward my car with a screwdriver in my hand. Thanks to so many of you I have learned that even someone as carinfochallenged as myself can learn! All I continue to need is patient teachers!
Thanks Guys and don't give up on me!
Got my car out this afternoon for the first time in a week! Gawd I love this machine!

Did a total insulation kit on 2 Vettes, Mine and my brothers.
Also at last minute we decided to do a Bose speaker replacement. Figured anything was better. Went with Kicker for the door 4 ohm 3.5's and also the 5.25 rears. Disconnected Dash speaker. The radio is at least 100% better! CD better but it wasn't that bad to begin with. Road noise and overall cabin noise is much quieter. I really like the change. I recommend both as an improvement to our Vettes. No pics of new speakers.

One day im going to get the ***** to do it(can I say that on here)
I'm here. Picked up some rear tires for the car this weekend. A friend in another local vette group had some Goodyear F1's (old to him...but they still had the little hairs on em!) and i paid $50 for the both of em. Total for 2 rear tires/mount/balance/sensor check = $90
Also, bought a 300 watt amp from a guy here on the forum for $20. Probably going to build a stealth box either this weekend or next and will probably get a 10" JL audio W1v2 to put in it. Have any of you moved the CD changer before? Also, any suggestions for running the amp wires?

The guy that had the car before me put the amp under the passenger seat and then ran the wires under the carpet back to the trunk. No visible wires so out of sight, out of mind. Except when you turn the radio up.
