Just emailed it. Also I remembered you cant really weld alum. so I am taking it in on swings on friday after I ceramic coat it and having them put some serious rivits in it.
Actually why would it need rivots or welded it is held in place by 313.5 bolts as it is I doubt that it will go anywhere either way welded, rivoted or nothing at all
Yeah that was fast, it was so much fun, can’t wait to try it in the C4. Thanks to you and Leo I was able to jump in for a few laps. Also I know why the L98 was breathing badly. Also I need to find a batter harness. I think I will just go with the trusty 550 cord.
How's the C4 coming along? The early C4's had notoriously bad electrical connectors in them. I've redone a couple of bits on mine. http://www.eficonnection.com/eficonn..._pigtails.aspx Is a good source for the various connectors!
If you wnat to come North I have an idea. Hideaway Pizza on North Western about 67th or so, they have a big parking lot that was used by the Iguana Grill when it was open. Great parking spot.

Eaiser install, will hold up better, looks better (like anyone will see it), oh and I am **** about what goes on my car
I think vette night should be up north some where. I know I dont always get to come to a ton of em but its time! Last week earls ribs was suggested.
I prob wont be able to make it, car is still on jackstands for a brake caliper re-painting thats taking way longer than I thought it would and I just bought a 99 mustang I want to detail/tune up (new DD car).

I buy the easier to install but if you are looking at it from below it will look like there is only one plate there now from outside I dont think I will be able to tell if there is one or three there
just yanking your chain a little CD just glad your leg is letting you back into the ride
Hello XS i am doing OK.......... how are you I assume you are still OK since I havnt shown your wife that post about how much time she adds to your quarter time

I know you are. I am always up for saving money and fabing up my own stuff
No idea what was up with the brakes. The old dried puddle on the floor may have been something else...my garage is filthy, so its not always easy to keep the stains straight. I drove the Vette today, had no brake problems. I even tried some "spirited" driving. Not a problem. And the reservoir is still full. I guess I'll keep an eye on it, but everything seems to be in order.
Too bad the weather sucks tomorrow. This afternoon was niiiiice.

if you don't rivet, the top two plates are only giving you strength from friction. You only torque the screws to 86 inch pounds.
It'll help some, but tying those three plates together would be much, much more rigid.

Im about to start doing mine. Probably start thursday morning and try to finish it by the weekend so its good to go for the shift kit.
