Sealy Tx bound
Will be coming down to Sealy Tx to work a contract. What is happening around Sealy. Lived in San Antonio for 7 years and went to the coast a lot, but that was years back. What all has changed in the Sealy/Houston/Corpus area.
Is Corpus Naval Air still around?

What are you into - drag racing, roadcoarse, show & shine?
If you are into drag racing Lone Star Motorsports Park is in Sealy:

If you like road racing we have three local tracks:
Texas World Speedway in College Station: http://www.texasworldspeedway.com/
Motor Sport Ranch - Houston: http://msrhouston.com/
Grand Sport Speedway: http://www.grandsportspeedway.com/
For show & shine, I suggest getting on the websites of the local Corvette clubs and check their calendars. They have car shows throughout the year from early spring to late fall. The main ones are:
Corvette Owners Club of Houston,
San Jacinto Corvette Club,
Sam Houston Corvette Club
There is a lot of local "meets" on weekend nights. My favorite is on Friday evening in Katy (just down I-10 from Sealy toward Houston) off grand Parkway. It has an interesting mix of cars http://www.westhoustonmuscle.com/
And there is Coffee & Cars at the Uptown Park Starbucks on the first Saturday of every month which has a good mix of european exotics and american iron: http://www.coffeeandcarshouston.com/
Enjoy your stay.

The drag racing is mostly locals but some very fast cars. Try to come to the meet at Katy each Friday night (weather permitting). I will hold you to the beer!
