Almost hate to bring it back but here is the original post:
http://forums.corvetteforum.com/c6-z...r-for-now.html

Took all the insurance money and paid off the car so the rest of the repairs had to come out of my "not deep" pockets. Can't wait!!! Perfect timing too now that the weather is getting nicer. Also nice not having that car payment

Looks better in person. The Fussions sound great. Only need to secure the front bumper and inner fender panels. Looking forward to some hill country runs.

Let us now if it feels any different. I have always heard that after a wreck, a car never feels the same again.

So you kept it and had it repaired after the insurance totaled it ?

And now its classified as a "salvage" car ??

Nope - clean title. Insurance did not total it. My lender accepted "partial" payment from insurance company. "Partial" payment from the insurance company is Total for repairs minus the Salvage value of the car.

"Partial" payment + a check I sent the lender paid the whole car off so the lender did not care. Their collateral was paid off at that point.

I just had to come up with what the insurance company was going to pay for "salvage"....which by the way was only 11K. Guess we don't get much for salvage on a Z nowadays //art
