hold the button down and at the same time hit it hard with your hand/fist - right at the front of the pull handle. Worked for me almost 3 yrs ago - no trouble since.

It's a cable driven unit with the motor mounted just below the lever/unlock switch. Is the motor turning or just clicking? cable could have come off one of the four pulleys. It's a pretty easy task to take out. The glass isn't glued to the regulator assy either.
Do a search in C5 section. My old C5 did the same thing and if I remember correctly I took off the regulator ( switch module) in the door and cleaned up the contacts to fix it. Not the up & down buttons but the regulator module. I will try to do a search and post

Got the motor and was ready to start project - I thought well first I oughta check the switch since I did not get a click- pulled the switch - pushed connector hard -put light pressure on wires to motor - gave it a try and has been working ever since. I will keep the motor just in case.
