I Wave :seeya My wife thinks it's corny but I've caught her a couple of times waving. I waved to this young thing in a C5 on my way to work in FW the other day. She waved back in that "Are you flirting with me?" style... you know ...raises the hand to the side of her face and then quickly brushes her hair back just in case you thought she was flirting back.

Re: DFW: Do You Wave? (jim_gard)
Yes we wave, started over 26 years ago with our first Corvette, still do today. Some wave back, a lot don't, they probably don't know the tradition....
I always give the non-wavers the "must not have seen me" benefit of the doubt. :D Maybe that sort of positive thinking pays off eventually... I got a return wave from a blonde in a white coupe a couple of weeks back. :)
That's my thought. I was in Plano/Dallas area for the past two days, and was 0 for 6. :nonod:
Bet you're gonna find that most of the folks on the Forum wave, it's the others who don't. Here's my guesstimate of the percentages who wave:
C5 50%
C5 - female driver 0.00001%
C4 60%
C4 - female driver 10%
C1, C2, or C3 99%
C1, C2, or C3 - female driver (no such thang in DFW)
:D :D :D :D :D :D :D
Personally, I always wave (first) unless it's a C4 or C5 - then I wait for the other driver to wave.
Hey, it's me, the 0.00001% of female C5 drivers that wave :)
But I'm with ya' man. The women really don't wave. I've sat at stoplights right next to another Corvette w/ a female driver and got NADA! No wave, no thumbs up, nuttin. And she looked right at me (I started to wave but she looked away before I could even get my hand up). Oh well!
I guess I'll just have to pull the weight of all the chicks out there that don't know the rule. It's a dirty job, but someone's gotta do it :)
