Wayne,

I use two shops north of Dallas who each have solid reputations for LS1work: Quality Motorsports, located in Lousiville, TX, and True Street Motorsports, located in McKinney. There are other shops, I suspect, but these two both have quality reputations and are managed honestly by good folks.

Hope that helps.

You just need head work? Or are you looking to have the shop do all the work? Not many of the shops that actually do install work also do the machine/porting work. There are lots of places that you can send your heads to. TEA, Advanced Induction are someone that are popular on ls1tech. As far as local there are guys known for doing good work and I have personally no experience with them. One of them is a guy named Chris Frank. He claims to be the person for developing the C&C program for some of the trickflow ls'x heads.

I've taken my car to Quality Motorsports several times. Very good people there. Patrick is a standup guy.

I have a QM tune on my car now. I'm looking for a shop to carry my heads in to do the work.

Z,

Call Andy Mages at ADM Performance in Lewisville. I picked up an LS3 from him for a friend of mine in San Antonio and I was quite impressed with his shop and the cars he was working on. I don't know much more about his work but it may be worth a call since he's kind of near you. You may want to go by his shop. It's just off I-35 and Jones in Lewisville.
