I am installing my Hust shifter from Speed Demon Motorsports (Got it in 18 hours from order  Thanks Chris! ) I am planning on doing it myself, I have read all the archived posts regarding this and being an ex aircraft mech I don't think it will pose a challenge (mechanicaly anyway) anybody have any advice?.
I will be doing this Sat morning(tomorrow) so if anyone is tooling around in my area (Flower Mound/Lewisville Area) feel free to stop by and offer moral support over a frosty beverage

Re: [DFW]Hurst Shifter install (95vett)
I just installed the Hurst shifters in our two C5s, piece of cake really. If you want a less than very firm shifter I recommend swapping the stiffer outer springs with the softer ones Hurst provides.
The C5 shifter is much different than the C4, as there are no springs, You just basicaly change the actual shaft part of it and reuse the factory pivot box etc.
