Default catalytic converters in Texas

I might be moving out to Austin and need if everyone has cats on their car. I see that Texas has inspections. I do have headers with out cats.

You're supposed to have them. Most shops do a visual inspection and check the car for codes. You may get lucky or get a "mod friendly" shop.

Or go to a hole in the wall, out in the middle on no-where ma & pa shop where they wouldn't even fathom why anyone would take off cats.

I went to a couple places that seemed hip to my game and checked for cats first thing and told me I failed.

Went to some old *** car repair shop where they probably get 0 corvettes a year and the old man didn't even bother to check after he looked for codes.

Good luck
