Default Suncap in Houston

Hey guys I wanted to post a quick little positive thing here so all would know.

I recently purchased a 2012 GS Vert and needed the windows tinted. I looked on the forums to find some recommended shops and kept seeing over and over Mingo at Suncap. I saw many posts on him doing a single piece rear over the dot matrix without using vinyl. Well since I had a Vert no need for that so I chose a place closer to me in Pearland that was also recommended. (name withheld)

I called on Thursday and scheduled 10am on Saturday to take the car in. When I initially scheduled I was asked if I was going to leave the car and I told them no, I will be waiting. When I arrived on Saturday at 9:50 they acted like I was way early and told me the tinter was not in yet. The person I was talking to went outside to make a call and came back in and told me that the guy would not be in till 11:00 would I like to leave the car. Um hell No! He then said I could leave and he would call me when the tinter get there. Well long story short I never got a call I called them at 1145 and tinter was still not there.

I immediately started calling around to get another schedule and called Mingo at Suncap. I spoke to him and asked if there was any way possible to get it in today, Saturday. He said he was sorry but he was booked but if I would bring it in on Sunday at 10:00 he would do it. Sunday mind you.

I then get a call from the first company at 1:15 saying that the tinter never showed and they would get me in on Wednesday. Sure glad I did not leave the car. I could have had a 4 day tint job.

I met Mingo at 10:00 at his shop on Sunday which is 40 miles from Pearland and he was pleasant, professional, and on time. He had my car done in about 2hrs with ceramic tint. He explained some of his techniques and we BS'd a little. All in all a very positive experience and I would not hesitate to drive to him again.

So if you need window tint, clear bra, or vinyl wrap do not hesitate to go to Suncap and Mingo he is as good as what everyone says he
is.

I have read and heard many great things about this place. If I ever have to retint my car this is the place I will use.

I had Mingo tint my new C6 on Wednesday. Flawless job! In the past I have had him tint my Subaru and tint / clearbra my C4. He is very reasonable and always does a fantastic job!

The man knows how to tint Corvette hatches better than just about anyone else in the area and does it using one piece of film instead of two or three like many other places...

Wow. How do you see out at night? You're just talking the rear window, right?

Yeah only the rear, sides are 35% and all legal. Works rather well IMO. Since the rear window is basically so small it helps to cut down on the light from those big trucks on your rear at stop lights. I have always done that to all my cars so it may not be good for someone not use to it.
