Yup. I've been going for three years now. It really is worth the drive. I know everyone wants a meet that is right down the street from them but sometimes it's worth a bit of a drive.

I once witnessed a kid spin his tires inside the Kemah meet. An old school guy started screaming at the top of his lungs to get the f out and never come back. It was awesome.

Chik-Fil-A pays for the cops so we have security and I do believe they have worked with Home Depot to coordinate our usage of their parking lot, so we are quite protective of it.

You'll see all kinds of cars, the Mustangs have a good showing, Camaro's, Corvettes, a couple lambo's, and even things like cars with wooden wheels will show up.

Yea, for sure. I can't imagine anyone would make it out every week. I sure as hell won't be able to. But that's not to say that these events cannot happen with or without the same people being there week in and week out.

I know HPD, when it was popular, used to do the Tuesday Night Dinners, but those were always up in The Woodlands or far enough away that I never attended, but basically we can just create a car group for this area, meet some new people, create some events, be it a cruise, a Go-Kart event at Track 21, a visit to Mexico, or just a visit to World of Beer for dinner and drinking (no racing that night). Not looking for hundreds of cars, not looking for sponsored events, not looking for to attract a lot of unnecessary attention, just a meet up. I think most will be on the same page, but it would be the group's responsibility to maintain a mature atmosphere and to not allow an event to get out of order or to attract the wrong people, cops or idiot drivers. Doesn't have to be the millionaire's club per say, but I wouldn't attend a meet composed of trashy cars or people.

No RPR tonight. Tonight I'm doing a arm drop street race deal at Texas World Speedway. A little different, should be fun.

Lane Change: Ive been following your build on here. Car is awesome, D3's work makes me drool everytime I see a build they worked on. I should be a decent race for you. You on motor me on boost. That hurts to say. Next Friday I was planning to hit LoneStar in Sealy. Maybe I could make RPR...

Some friends of mine are heading to TWS as well, but the caliber of cars looks questionable based on the postings I've seen and running on an unprepped 1/8 track didn't appeal to me enough to join them, so I decided that RPR would be a better fit. At least I can work on my 60's and see the visual confirmation of the improvements if any. I'll probably just be doing motor passes tonight, but I filled both the bottles up just in case.

Watch out for the Navy Blue Jeep SRT8....it's not stock. lol

Feel free to stop by if you're out there. I know D3 will be doing some shake down passes on their Black 8 sec 2JZ 240sx tonight as well.

My expectations are so low I dont think it can be disappointed tonight. I figure this is a bit of an analog for Mexico and I need work in that dept.

For sure. I debated going as well, but eventually talked myself out of it. I was reading an awful lot of Honda talk....and I'm not even talking remotely nice Honda ****...but like a Maxima vs. an Accord. It was enough for me to scratch the idea and work on my 60's at the track. Best of luck to you though. I did hear about 2 GTR's that are supposed to be there, a 1000hp Belaire, and I know Blue Jeep SRT8 is pretty fast...but he's on pump gas tonight, but still a pretty potent truck for 1/8 mile dig racing.

I'd like to see the Viper, GTR, Supra, or any of the other cars interested in showing up be able to join. If anyone is interested, we can meet up one evening this week just for fun and see what the facilities look like, to make sure we have a well lit area, w/o speed bumps, that can hold a mature group of car owners. I won't partake in an event that has people doing burnouts, drinking, or otherwise littering up the parking lots through immaturity or a lack of respect, but rather just a friendly get together for people in this area to hang out and meet each other. I see nice cars driving around Katy all the time and don't know many of them. We can establish a consistent meet perhaps on a Wednesday night each week and take it from there.
I live in old Katy and am down for a la centerra meet. I just made my first corvette purchase 4th of July weekend and would like to get different inside perspectives from other corvette owners. If this is in the works let me know.

Well, the chance of rain tomorrow night is showing 100%, so that won't happen. But I'm sure we can choose a date/time that works for a portion of us and just take it from there.

I know Sundays are not always good for people, but what about Sunday evening...maybe around 6pm at La Centerra? There is a parking garage near Baker Street Pub if anyone is interested in meeting up there. I didn't see any speed bumps in this area, which is good for some of us.

The Sealy track is open tomorrow night if any of you boys want a little qtr mile action. That's IF it doesn't rain buckets tonight. I'm planning to take my GS there for its maiden voyage down the qtr. Sounds like there will be a nice/cool/dry tail wind in attendance too.

Paul, down in Richmond. Haven't been in Houston in 20 years, good to be back. We definitely need a west side meet.

West-side guys...want to shoot for Tuesday night around 6 or 7pm at La Centerra near Baker Street Pub? Weather is looking excellent as of right now. 0% chance of rain, nice cool day with a high of 79.
