My wife and I had a blast. She didn't want to go with me at first, but we ended up going three times. I was driving a 2011 Cyber Gray Grandsport, the only Corvette at the show with PA plates. We drove about 1424 miles to get there. We had a great time and met a lot of nice people, we will probably do this again. After we left Texas we headed north just missing the tornadoes and hail. We are now in Iowa City, Iowa visiting with my wife's niece. Sunday morning we drive home to PA, it should take us about 13 hours. The total mileage for our trip should be about 3400 miles. Bob

Glad to hear you had a good time. I joined the Lonestar Corvette Club while I was there.
I would like to attend the Carlisle event one day.
My dad lived in Carlisle for 16 years, now he lives in the Masonic Village in Elizabethtown.
3400 miles in one trip, that's more than I drive mine in a year. Be safe going home. Cheers!

Corvettes At Carlisle should definitely be on your bucket list. They had close to 5000 Corvettes last year, it's usually the last weekend in August and runs from Thursday thru Sunday. There are vendors from all over the country, and the largest swap meet you will ever see. I am always parked with the Solid Axle Club with my 61 Restomod, so if you ever make it up to my neck of the woods, look me up. Bob
