Are you guys on some kind of limited use policy? I'm in Plano and almost double what you're paying. Hell you're paying less than my wife in her CX-5.
And that's with multi line discounts, no accidents and in my 50s.

I recommend that you shop around. No way should you be paying that much. Just make sure you are comparing the same coverage that is on your current policy. And don't necessarily go with the least expensive. Research their payout reviews. Some companies are inexpensive, but they try to beat you up if you file a claim.

I don't know about everyone else, but my wife and I are in our late 60's, not tickets, multi car (2) and house policy.....and for what it's worth, I've been with State Farm for 50+ years (I doubt that it really matters, I'm sure I'm just a number). Also, believe it or not, your credit score has a lot to do with your premiums.

We are paying 200 a month through USAA, I am pretty sure I can get it cheaper. I had State Farm for 15 years, but then my husband wrecked our 5th gen Camaro and State Farm dropped us.
That accident falls off at the end of this year, so we might have to shop around then. Progressive doesn't distinguish between z51 and stingray, that is why I think they have pretty good prices. They do distinguish between a stingray and a z06.

I pay $570.00 per year for full coverage, with limited mileage of 7500 driving miles. Works for me since it's not a daily driver. Located in Oregon.

I fired State Farm after 30 years with 4 cars, house, RV and external property. Went with Farmers and a saved about $300 a year. Sold the RV and one car. Traded in another on the Corvette. This renewal period I put ny 08 Corvette and 10 Hemi Challenger on the Covette Museum limited miles colector car insurance. Both cars with $0 deductibles & agreed value for $729 a year.

I don't know why when someone ask a question about a thing, like insurance rates in Texas, people from all over the country chime in with opinions. Texas has very high insurance rates. OP ask for help not opinions.
So here goes.
I have been with State Farm for almost 50 years. 2 two seaters and an F150 and house. My '15 LT2 Z51 coupe is about $700 every six months. They always pay but sometimes they are a pain in the butt. And they seem to go up regularly. I'll get all fed up and say "I'm changing companies ". I've called them all and they say they can't beat what I'm paying. Car insurance in Texas is just plain high.
OP I hope you can get a good deal, but unless you don't put any miles on your car, you pay to play.
Good luck

I wonder what the rate would be in Seattle? Probably quite a bit higher? , but when I move down to Lake Havasu, AZ it will be half that. Here is my policy coverage in Portland for $498 per 6mos. Just so we are talking apples to apples here. It can make a big difference. Bodily Injury & Property Damage Liability:

State Farm performed excellently for us in two previous vehicle claims between 1975-2006 and after Katrina (an $11,000 claim), though we dropped them a year later because they increased our rates by 114%. We've got AMICA now, and they've covered two claims, one each for home and vehicle damages, and we've been delighted with their services and rates.
I'd bet Mississippi vehicle insurance rates are higher than TX. Our two Corvettes are covered for replacement value [both over 6,000 miles annually] by NCM for $150/mo for both; an 03z06 and a 14z51.
Safeco IS AWFUL. A state legislator has consented to represent some of the local homeowners against Safeco. I've been hearing about Safeco's practices from one of our married neighbors. We've been helping them clean up after a recent tornado struck their property.
Safeco has nickle and dimed them at every turn. The $30,000 replacement coverage they had on their garage/tool shop was "depreciated" to $14,000 including contents, even though the contents were insured under a separate Safeco policy for their business equipment. They'll lose an estimated $35,000 in unpaid claims for damaged equipment. Their "replacement value" policy for the home itself has been reduced from the stated $125,000 "current construction costs" plan to a "depreciated value" cost of $85,000.
The tornado struck on 1/21/17, a Saturday. They called their agent at 830 am that morning. He told them, "we don't work on the weekends. Call back Monday". When they did that, they were told, "our earliest available adjuster appt is a week from now, Monday the 30th. And you'll have to keep everything exactly as it lays for pictures and damages evaluation."
Imagine your possessions spread out over your 7-acre yard uncovered and exposed to the follow-up wet weather ( and to looters, too). I was there when the adjuster showed up on Wed Feb 1st after delaying for two days. If you want more of the horrid details, PM me. Our neighbors are going to have to fight them for months and months to the limit of the coverage deadline (a date) to get "adjustments" to their 'awards'. What a nicke-and-dime outfit.

How are some of you guys getting such cheap insurance or am I just getting ripped off? I do not own a corvette but I was browsing out of curiosity. I'm a 30 year old male never have had a ticket and have State Farm multi car discount . My 2003 Nissan 350z is 100 a month and my 2005 civic is 85. Never have claimed anything on insurance in my life .

Geico has me around $280/mo in Downtown Dallas (doesn't help) driving 16k miles a year with decent coverage.
I do have two very minor collisions on my driving record in the past 5 years. One was scratched paint in a parking lot (didn't see them pull in while I was pulling out) and I hit a big dip in the road in my c6, causing about $5k in damage.
Fortunately, those are coming off my record soon.
