Default Houston GTG?

Are there any weekly or monthly GTG's for the Houston area? Just picked up a 2007 Monterrey Red C6 and curious if there's any meets in the area. I live in Humble and work in Katy. I'm from the Woodlands originally and used to be in the street racing scene back in the late 90s early 2000s, but I just moved back to the Houston area last year after over a decade of living in Austin.

I'd be interested in well. There's definitely a big car scene in Houston, but am not sure where to find domestic or corvette-specific meet these days.

Anybody have info or ideas outside of cars & coffee and random car shows?

I know there's a ton of Corvette clubs in Houston, but I'm really not interested in being a "card carrying" member of any club with rules and by-laws and fees and whatnot. I'm just curious where everybody goes to hang out, not necessarily corvette specific. I know my friends go to the WestSideMustangs meet in Katy by Borders resturant on Thursdays, there seems to be a decent mixture of cars that shows up out there. I plan on attending that tomorrow.

My wife and I both have vettes but just can't bring ourselves to join an actual Corvette club for several reasons.

Check out Houston Coffee and Cars on Facebook or their web site:

Market St in the Woodlands still has Coffee & Cars the first Sunday of every month as well.

The Houston Ride & Shine event always has a pretty good turn out:

The following is a pretty comprehensive local Houston Calendar for events:
