Default TECH2 - Pay it Forward

I recently purchased a clone Tech2 as I hate the idea of paying a dealer ridiculous $ to perform tasks on my late model GM vehicles that used to be customer serviceable in previous generation models (e.g. programming key FOB's).

Having recently successfully used the Tech2 on both my 2011 Grandsport and my 2014 Yukon Denali I'm going to bank up some good Karma and offer to assist other local forum members by providing programming services free of charge.

Yup, you read that right. Nada/zero/zilch/the big goose egg.

So first and foremost, the disclaimer: I am not a GM or ASE certified mechanic and I don't play one on TV but I have spun wrenches on every motorcycle and car I have ever owned (including my two current Grandsports) and to be quite frank you don't have to be a rocket scientist to use the Tech2 for simple programming tasks as the interface is extremely intuitive. If I don't know how to do perform a specific configuration then between Google and YouTube I'm betting someone has already posted instructions and/or we can figure it out.

So if you need an OEM radio TheftLock code removed, C5 VATS disabled, key FOB's programmed, activate A/C afterblow, F55 mag-ride option delete or any other basic service that the dealer charges stupid $ for then ping me here to schedule up a meet.

Finally, if your conscience won't let you sleep at night for getting this kind of service for free them you can always make a donation to the Pediatric Brain Tumor Foundation's Ride for Kids as compensation and increase your good Karma points too.

A/C afterblow would be nice to enable. Let me know if you're ever in the Austin area.
