If you HAD to choose, then yes definitely skip the oval. I did that first, and while I appreciated the experience, it was slow and boring...just something to check off on my bucket list. The infield road course is definitely where the fun is!

They will both be going on all day, so you'll have a chance to do both.

You don't have to drive that far for good Que. Meat U Anywhere in Trophy Club right off Hwy 114 is very good.

Usually they have rooms available for a month or so after the block opens. Call the Marriott on Championship Drive and ask when the block opens and if you can be first in line.
You will have a great time staying here. The parking lot is full of Corvettes and you will see and be able to visit with hundreds of Corvette people. the NCM people will be there as well as other notables from Chevrolet. Did I mention the big gathering on the patio after the banquet on Saturday night? The Lonestar Corvette Club puts on a first class event.

Thanks again guys for all the help

If you all head to Ft Worth, try and stay clear of I-35W. It is terrible the closer you get to 820.
