Default DFW Performance Shop Suggestions?

Hey all,

I Just wanted to see if anyone here from the DFW area has a performance shop they trust and use? I went to the dealership today for my 500 mile oil change and asked if they could install the Borla x-pipe, which over the phone he said would be no problem. When they opened the box and saw that this deletes the two cats they came back and gave liability and failing emissions inspection as a reason they could not do the install.

I know I can do this myself, but I want this professionally installed. Any recommendations out there?

Thanks,
Jayson

21st Century Muscle Cars in Addison gets my vote. They can also tune it so you dont get an engine light once the cats are gone.

Ask for Matt!

The Borla X-Pipe only deletes the two un-monitored cats -- no CEL's.

I had the same problem getting mine installed none of the local shops would touch it due to the cat delete. The mechanic in the garage where I worked installed it for free. Actually not so, I insisted on giving him a few bucks and burgers for him and the guys in the garage. Sounds sweet.

Right which is what I explained. I even asked if they could print up a waiver I can sign pushing all responsibility to me and they still did not agree.

Thanks for the recommendations! Hunting for something local before stretching out towards Dallas. Those are 60 miles out! Eeeeep.

ya, sorry it was kind of a pain in the butt to get installed. But well worth it when installed.

I've heard great things about the two shops mentioned above. Give them both a shout and see what they charge. If you go with Lou, you may get some extra info about his new track.

Advanced modern performance tuned mine. they build a lot of high hp gm cars. But an xpipe doesn't require a tune. give them a call. dealership guys don't know a thing about modifying cars.

Just as a side note Kinney's will only work on new exhaust parts not used. So don't take your used Akrapovič system to them hoping they'll install

Pat Sparks, owner of Quality Motorsports in Lewisville has done all the third-party work on the 10 Corvettes I've owned in the last 18 years. They're Corvette specialists and know their stuff inside and out.

Agreed. He worked on my Z06 and I'm very happy with his work
