Yes we just had Corvettes and Coffee on the west side this past Saturday, about 35 vettes, even had a C8 show up. This event is the first Saturday of every month. Also the Pavilions go on every Saturday evening.
Also our local club ACE is having our annual Fathers Day cruise and picnic, meetup at Wickenburg, then off over Yarnell mt. For the twisties, thru Prescott national forest, more twisties, pickup some more members in Prescott then off through Jerome with final destination in Cottonwood for picnic lunch.
I was actually there last Saturday night. Not a single car.
I went through twice on my way to and from Ruth's Cris. About 6:15, and again at just before 9. Empty lot.
Haven't been since April/May but they were there then. Last Saturday we had our Father’s Day cruise and lunch, Prescott, Jerome, Cottonwood where we had a group lunch/picnic. Maybe 50 of us...
Something that I remember now and it just didn't register then, when I went back in the lot at 9 pm, there was a vehicle parked diagonally in the middle of the lot. It had some writing on the doors. I wonder now if it was a security service keeping cars from collecting.
Could be that the business that sponsors Saturday night was held accountable if crowds came in uninvited. Just a theory, but no cars were there.
I'm a 25 year regular at the Pavilions... you've seen me there hundreds of times.
As much as this is my favorite hangout on a Saturday afternoon.....I'm giving it a big long PASS until (say) October.
1. WAY TOO MANY 'Covid deniers'. Put Your #$%^& MASK ON! it's the LAW
2. This is the hottest summer on record...with a bullet! I respect my car way too much to park it out there at 115°.
Looking forward to October...when I cruise thru and see the lack of masks. Pavilions 2/ 2020
