Sounds cool. Anyone know how fast is a “paced” lap?
They started doing that at Circuit of the Americas because some people were going wild out there with out reasonable self control, and pretty much ruined the experience. Somebody got booted off the track with an "invitation" to not return for doing over 160mph on the back stretch! They now break it into smaller groups being led around at 'about' 80 max, with no passing. They have another group behind you, and radar stations, so if you try hanging back and then go blasting to catch up, the monitor car behind the group will rat you out, and you too will be kicked off track.
^^^^^sounds like no fun whatsoever. Hell I can do triple digits on some of our “out of the way” roads here no problem.....
plus we have a no fly zone on a half mile runway that’s also a better option then my out of the way roads....
I do also realize this a for charity event I believe so there is that.

I like the charity part for sure. The 80 max??? Not so much. But it would also be cool to have a picture and or video of my car on a race track if they do that. I'll have a gopro with anyway for that matter and I can get my own video. I'm still leaning towards doing it though.
