I’ve got a 2019 Z06, non Z07 with the A8 that has less that 4K miles. Last night I noticed that when the car was idling, I could hear a tick noise coming from the passenger side of the engine. As well, the exhaust sounded like I had a small aftermarket camshaft. The car is completely stock.
I took the car for a drive earlier to my local dealer, since it still has warranty. The ticking noise was louder than last night and the exhaust made more of a “thumping” sound. When driving, the car definitely has less power, isn’t as “peppy” and I can hear what sounds to be an exhaust leak. I’ve posted in a different part of the forum and some of the users believe that I have a possible valve train issue.
If the dealer was to replace something like a lifter for instance, would they warranty the parts? I was wondering if anyone has had this problem. Any help would be greatly appreciated
If it is under full warranty they would covers the parts and labor- ask them?- but do it fast as it may run out soon. Its based on mileage and time. You issue could be the time unless you extended your warranty.
