Default Houston Raceway Park (Wednesday Nights)

Anyone here ever go out there on Wednesday nights? I'm wondering how many runs I would be able to make. The web site says time trials start at 6pm and eliminations start at 8pm. So, since I've never raced at a drag strip I'll likely only have one race after 8pm because I'll lose my first elimination run. Anyway, just wondering if any of you know how many runs I could expect to make.

Show up around 4:30 so you can get in right when gates open. You end up doing a lot of waiting but you'll be at the front of the line. I don't know how busy they are in wintertime but I'm guessing with the nice cold air, they get pretty packed. In the fall when we went though, we could make pretty much non-stop runs until around 7:30 or so...

Can't wait till I get my new clutch next week so I can start going again!

Lates,
Justin

Cool, I'll get there early when I go. I just have to get one of my brothers helmets first I suppose. By the way, nice car Justin. I noticed the MTI parts in your sig, my older brother works at MTI. You have probably met him if you are in there every once in a while. Maybe I'll see you at the track sometime. Later.

Good thing I posted. They are closed on Wednesday nights until Feb 26th. I think I better switch my plans to a Friday night or Saturday morning when they start the test and tune days this next Saturday.

Thanks!

When they are open on Wednesday nights they usually aren't very packed and you can get alot of runs in. Even after the bracket racing starts it usually doesn't last more than an hour and you can continue running anyway......
