I'll be there, but not as a driver. I installed a harness in a bracket truck and I told the guy I would come out to make sure he can get through the night ok. Everything checked ok at the shop, but as we all know, the track is another story.
We ran the last Pro Mod (Orange '67 Camaro blown-alky-injected-big block)event (or at least tried) but we burn the trans up when the airshifter slammed into neutral. We broke again at the divisional race two weeks ago, but we'll be back out in a few weeks.
A car went 4.025 at the last event.
Snowman this track was 1/8 mile and they were running this last Fri night 4.1 sec at approx. 170 to 175mph. One blown Vette got crossed up and hit the wall after he went thru the traps, the driver was ok but the Vette needs some reconstruction work.
No no no, I was responding to 14car. I was there when the Mustang hit the wall and rolled down the guardrail. The car was trashed. It looked as if someone took a torch and cut the left rear quarter of the car off, axle and all. It was nice to see the driver walk away. That was the turbo charged Mustang. It torqued real nasty off the line and was pulling real hard. On the top end of the track, he crossed in front of another car and got some serious air on the first roll (bumper to the ground...nose to the moon). It took almost two hours to get the races started again.
