Default HOUSTON - good place for oil change?

I don't think the jiffy lube next to me will work since the car is so low.

I want somewhere that can put mobil-1 in, and where I can watch em do it. No dropping the car off.

any leads?

Maybe I just need to go buy some jacking pucks, some blocks of wood, and do it myself =)

Do it yourself. Piece of cake! I read somewhere that a hockey puck works just as well at a fraction of the cost.

Good luck! :smash:

MTI or Corvettes of Houston will do a good job.

MTI or COH are fine. I have also been talking with the guy who runs a quicklube place on Sawdust just east of I45 about 2 blocks in on the left.
He has boards in the back for such a purpose. You'd have to tell him you won't ding him if the boards don't work out....he is VERY careful...good man.
They might turn you down. They did at first on some of my cars...particularly the 90 coupe and my Z28 both with headers that hang pretty low.

Corvettes of Houston, MTI or even Mac Haik. Although at Mac Haik you can't watch your car, but they did take care of me and no problems. COH you can watch. MTI you can watch it and maybe catch a blown LS1 being dyno'd.

WARNING..... going to COH and MTI is like a 10 year old going to Disneyland. They have all the go-fast temptations on display.... and with 30 minutes of free time, your wallet handy and your 'vette nearby.... its almost impossible to not buy something.

I have now joined the DIYs since I got my new Z. I have a sloped driveway so I just drive it up on Rhino Ramps, with no need to raise the rear. Changes take less than 30 minutes once its in the air.

I use Champion (formerly Mike Hall Autonation) to do my service work, including an oil and filter change every 3 months or 3k miles (its always the three month thing). They do a good job, I don't have to worry about them hot-rodding the car around the parking lot or taking short-cuts on the oil change or oil level checking procedures for a Z06.

Freddy Falcon is the Service Consultant I use. His direct # is 281-983-9871.

Two places I would trust for about the same price. COH and River Oaks Automotive Center. Depends if you want to shop... then go ahead with COH :D

:withstupid:

Nice car :conehead

I was driving by COH on Sunday and they are advertising C5 Oil Changes at $55.00 on their huge sign out front. They are basically begging us to come there and spend money :hurray:
