Jenn,
Next to Darwin, I'll stand up and say you did a great job in coordinating the event yesterday. I had a great time and met some new people. The weather was perfect.
I'm thinking my dad paid Logan some money on the side to draw his ticket, but of course I have no proof of that. Although I know he slipped Logan a 5 afterwards....
I wish we could do the CF get together more often. I know there are more people out there I'd like to meet!! Put a face with the name.

How dare you guys think that sweet little Logan would stoop so low!!! I did slip him a 5 spot afterwards though to show my thanks and just in in case he ever gets to draw again. hehehe
I credit all my luck in the drawings to good, clean living....
The $$$ will be spent towards the repair my stupid garage wall incident.
Cooking the food was fun and my pleasure, next year I suggest we have both grills fired up early on.
I always have fun when I can meet new people that share the same passion for the corvette that I do. I can help myself when I see a groups of vettes together I have to stop and admire them. We had A REAL NICE TURN OUT. I got to meet some new people. Thanks Jenn for your organizational skills. . One other thing, though. I want ROY banned any any further 50/50 drawings :D
It was great having the opportunity to meet everyone! I'm looking forward to many more get togethers in the future. Thanks Roy for the great cooking and thanks Jenn for organizing everything!
:iagree: It was my first CF get together and I had a good time. Perfect weather, great turnout, great people, beautiful cars, and we raised a few bucks, what more can you ask for? I wish we could get together one evening, I'm more inclined to talk to people I don't know when I've had a few beers. :D
In the future, if I may humbly suggest, might we have name tags with our screen name so a newby like myself would know who I'm talking to? I didn't think of this myself until I met Ken Robb and he was wearing his. The only person I recognized when I got there was Thrills. I’m bad with names so, today the only one I would recognize would still be Thrills!
:jester

Shame on me for not wearing my Corvette Forum name badge. I know many of us have them, and for those of us who like to participate in the get-togethers, we should commit to wearing them every time.
Jenn: Great Job! Sorry I couldn't stay later and enjoy some food, but duty called at home. Next time I'll be sure to block out the entire afternoon. See everyone at Sergeant's soon!
Thanks everyone for coming out and making this a success! I was a little worried at about 11:30 when we only had about 5 cars, but in the end everyone came through!! I had a blast, as Doug Johnson used to say "Its not the cars it's the people" ( :blueangel: )
Special mucho thanks to Roy for running the grill. I think Roy won the 50/50 because of divine intervention, when you do good things it always comes back to you in spades. Thanks Roy!!
Thanks to all who came, lets do it again soon, how about Hooters sometime next month??
Excellent job Thrills. I had a great time. I enjoyed looking at all the Vettes and mods. Everyone was real nice and it was good to meet them. Thanks for a great event.
I got there as things were winding down but got to meet some nice people and see some nice looking cars. On the way back to Granbury---I got challanged by a Ricer. I think the kid just wanted to see the juice of the C5. Anyway---we stopped at a light in Benbrook and he told me I had "one bad-azz C5". It just topped off a nice day! :smash:
From: Inside every color vette there is a blue one trying to come out!
Re: ** DFW ** Thrills...... (Gray Fox)
This was yet another great event and stuff. I was glad to be a part of it again. The folks were cool as always and the food was good. Saturday turned out to be a great day for a bar-b-que, and Sunday's weather made me thankful that we were all able to come out and enjoy a great day. Thanx Jenn and to all...Keep the engine warmed up, and keep laying positrack burns on the pavement.
Great food, great friends, great weather......what did I forget....oh, yeah, GREAT CARS....all made a great event. Thanks for everything.
Lee & Cathy :hurray:
I'm sorry I couldn't make it this year Jenn. Was planning on it but something came up at the last minute. :( Glad it turned out great - it looked a little gloomy Saturday morning.
thanks to Roy for the fine cooking and thanks to jenn for running the show.
btw, I took a few pictures of all the cars out. I'll send them to you Jenn.
