My wife and I will be in Phoenix (Hilton in Scottsdale) from the 25th to the 29th. We are looking to relocate and will be there checking out housing etc. I'm planning on going to the Pavillions on Saturday. I'll be wearing my Corvette Forum name tag. So if you see me, please introduce yourself. Would love to meet some of you guys and pick your brain about the area. I feel like a kid that is going to a new school and doesn't know anyone or anything about the school.

Re: [phx] Coming to Visit (Crusher)
damn damn damn !
I am going to be in Vegas this weekend.
Anyway, when you are out house looking, don't forget to come down to Chandler to see what's up in this area. Lots of nice houses going up and the town is growing by leaps and bounds.
Who are you flying in on?
And do you have directions to the pavilions ?
Bryan...
I too will be in Sin City that weekend... I would have to agree with Bryan though, come to Chandler... Good schools for kids... and is the next up and comer town
Hi Kevin - I'm Dan. I plan on being at the Pavilions this Sat. afternoon/evening with my Vette, so look for me. I have a bright white '79 C3, license plate "C3VETTE", and I'm generally parked at the north end of Corvette row. Stop and say hello. :seeya
Bryan and Glen, sorry that I will miss you guys. Would have liked to put faces with some of the regular posters. Chandler is on my list to check out for sure. Sounds like a real nice area. How long to drive from Chandler to downtown Phoenix? Wife is a Pediatric Physical Therapist and will most likely find employment in Phoenix.
I'm sure I will be able to find the Pavilions unless it is difficult to find from the Hilton Garden Inn in Scottsdale. If so, then yeah, fire away with directions. What is the best time to be there? Dan I will definatly look for you.
I'd say the best time to be at the Pavilions is between 4PM & 8PM. After 8:30 of so, the adults start to go home, and the ricers attack, but between 4 & 8 it's great. If you need directions, e-mail me and I will put them together for you, but you should have no trouble finding it.
Welcome to Phx. I won't be able to make it to the Pavillions this weekend, would love to meet up another time if you have a spare moment or two. Maybe lunch one of those days? I'm sure if we just put it out here on the Forum we'd have a crowd. I have to end by putting in my $.02 for Scottsdale/NE Phx. Every part of Phx has it's positives.

Would love to plan a lunch meeting with you guys but I'm not sure what our scheduale will be. Would love to pick your guys brains about the area. Ed, I will take you up on your help about the area at some point. I don't know if you collect Police Patches or not but I will bring one from my department for you anyway and give it to one of the guys to get it to you.
Kevin, are you continuing your employment with your present employer or are you starting new, here in Phoenix. I talked with you, on the phone, yesterday, the 23rd.
I sure wish I could make it out to Pavillions this Saturday to meet up with you, but it's my wedding anniversary and my wife (who is very mild mannered) would kill me if I chose that over a nice dinner out :smash:
However, if you have time in your schedule, I'd like to get together for a meal and/or simply offer any assitance you may need in learning the area. I've owned quite a few homes, and know the area well from a property value perspective, so I'd be glad to help you out in any way I can.
Good luck ... look forward to having another Arizona Corvette Enthusiast around
Well we made it to Scottsdale. We will head down to Chandler today and check out the housing and the area. Hope to meet up with some of you guys before we leave. So far, the wife and I like it here.
