We already know my Vette runs a 14.9 1/4 mile, are you saying I need a reminder? :jester Actually, if you guys go I will come along but will not race this time. My new brake calipers and X-pipe are going on Sat, so I'll wait to run it until the new exhaust is in place. And someone remind me to weigh my car this time.
If Dan C. goes maybe I'll ride with him. That sounds like a thrill ride! :D

If we do go to Firebird Fri. night, we may have to find another route back to I10 when we leave the track. This is from the ADOT Web site:

January 2, 2004

Interstate 10 will be closed just south of the Phoenix area on the weekend of January 10-11 while crews demolish the Maricopa Road Bridge that spans I-10.

The Arizona Department of Transportation (ADOT) says I-10 will be closed in both directions between Maricopa Road and Queen Creek Road from 9 p.m. Friday (January 9) until 5 a.m. Monday (January 12) while crews remove the Maricopa Road Bridge over I-10.

Significant traffic delays are expected and drivers are urged to avoid this area of I-10. Drivers should use the new Loop 202 Santan Freeway, Price Road and Queen Creek Road as alternates while I-10 is closed.

ADOT also advises drivers to slow down and be prepared to stop due to traffic backups when approaching this stretch of I-10. Officers from the Department of Public Safety will monitor traffic on I-10.

The weekend work is part of the construction project to build the new Wild Horse Pass Bridge over I-10 and to build new freeway entrance and exit ramps at Wild Horse Pass.

The alignment of Maricopa Road is being altered to connect with Wild Horse Pass Road as part of the new bridge and ramp construction. The Wild Horse Pass interchange at I-10 will replace the current Maricopa Road access to enter and exit I-10.

Maricopa Road will be closed between Queen Creek Road and I-10 from 9 p.m. Friday (January 9) until 5 a.m. Monday (January 12) while crews realign Maricopa Road to connect with the newly built Wild Horse Pass Bridge that spans I-10.

Perhaps an alternate route might take us to Hooters after the track? :D :smash:

I am not taking the vette this time. Since it was hit I have to get the rear fixed. Right now waiting for the other guys insurance to pull their head out of their azz. :mad

My neighbor asked me to bring his firebird there so he can also take his lighting.

WHAT? When was your Vette hit? Did I miss something? What the heck happened? Well, I guess you can tell me about it tonight. I'll be meeting up with you at Firebird. I called them to see if the scale would be available, and they said it would, so I'm primarily going just to weigh my car. I'm not going to race, but I'll hang out.
If you want to grad a bite to eat afterwards I'd be up for that.

Sorry - I've been out of town all week, and off the forum as well.

I am still tuning my vette, and it needs more work before it hit's the strip for a full pass.

I may go in the future, if I am not just coming back from work.

I got there around 6:30, and I think Kameron did too. I left at around 11 or so just to land in the thick of the traffic. Kameron stayed longer. I didn't run my Vette. Didn't see the point considering the next morning I was having an X-pipe installed. Figured I'd wait until to run it until after the upgrade. I only took it there to weigh it. Kameron's Vette is in the shop due to the rear end accident, so he was running his friend's 2nd gen 455 Firebird. Surprised we didn't see you.
