Just curious as to what temps other vette owners are seeing as it heats up outside.
Today I saw:
Engine oil = 230
Coolant = 212
Tranny = 190
My tranny seemed OK, but the other seem a little high. I have my tranny cooler in front of my radiator. Any feedback would be great.
Thanks,
AZC5
230 engine oil temp is rare for me....even in Houston heat......maybe after a few hard pulls
212 coolant was about normal before my s/c install. My fans have been programmed to come on now @ 170.....so, I haven't seen over 185 since, but I haven't had it ain any really hot weather either. I gotta feeling that with the hot Houston summer temps I might end up having issues with the ATI single fan unit. :banghead:
Summer in Phx. not rare to see water temps get into the 230's...but with the fans and moving...it will drop. 212 may be normal in the summer, but remember, these cars went through alot of hours out here testing them....try to have a little faith in GM :rofl:

Re: Summer Temps. (Scratch)
I have faith in GM, or I would never have bought a second one. I was just wondering if the big tranny cooler I added in front of the radiator was possibly causing insufficient air flow, resulting in high coolant and oil temps.
