Default [AZ]Dyno Tuner ?

Hey all, I need some dyno/wibeband/chip tuning done on my 383. Any suggestions in the Phoneix area? Hopefully someone who is competent so that I don't have to pay for an entire day of tuning to end up with a program that someone else could have built in an hour.

Prices and experiences would be greatly appreciated.

1993 LT1 383 6spd Coupe.

I believe Xtreme Motorsports would be the place to go.

I had REALLY good success with ADS in Tempe. They built the complete fuel and timing map for my aftermarket fuel injection system using their Mustang dyno and wide band O2. I have not had to touch it once since then.

Contact Greg or John at ADS: 6825 W. Chandler Blvd, Chandler. 480-961-8704. Their web page is at http://www.automotivediagnosticspecialties.com/

How much did it cost you and how many hours did they spend?

for my complete setup, it cost about $1,000 total.
But, that wasn't just a simple adjustment to add more power, that was a complete job. They set the idle, ALL power ranges at all RPMs and different load conditions, set the timing curves from scratch and made sure that it would all run with 91 octane gas, set up all the "correction" tables for altitude, outside air temp and engine temperatures - they did the WHOLE thing.
I would think to take an already running computer and dyno tune it to get the most power out of already running combination would be probably 1/2 day ($150 / hour I think).
But trust me, these guys do it right. We took mine out for almost 2 more hours of street testing with me driving and he was in there with the laptop making sure all was perfect. We found some problems that didnt pop up on the dyno and got those corrected and they made sure I was happy with everything. The car has run fantastic since it was done.

I had it running, but they had it running right with the most HP the motor and the fuel will make without pinging or running it lean. This is a car that I know will run right under all conditions.

Yes they will. If you bring a "strip kit" (kit will all the jets and rods) for your carburetor, they can get that thing dialed in right.
Again, this is not cheap by any means. But when they are done, it's done right and it will be making all the HP that it safely can make.
