(Phx) Just dropped the car off at Xtreme
Well, I finally got around to doing it and I dropped the car off at Xtreme this morning. They are installing the 3.42's and the ss3200. They are going to pull the tranny though and Mark is taking it to another place in town and they will install the Transgo Kit.
Xtreme said, "We are not comfortable installing the Transgo Kits." So, this is kind of inconvenient, but oh well. I thought they were the Corvette Experts in these parts? Everyone seemed pretty nice this morning.
Anyway, after they get everything back together, they will do LS1 Edit for me.
They had a new GTO in there. Installing a Supercharger, headers and exhaust system. Cool! Wish it was my car the Supercharger was getting installed on. lol.
I'll let you all know how it goes when I get it back. May or may not get it back today. I can't wait.
Mark is on vacation this week, so he is being absolutely wonderful and doing all of this running around for me so I just wanted to say "Thanks babe!"

I saw your car on the lift today when I was there. Have fun with the converter and gears. BTW, the yellow GTO you saw belongs to David, he is the owner of Xtreme.
About the trans-go shift kit. That is weird that they would not install it for you. But, if you ask Mike to you can shorten all your shift times to .168* through LS1 edit. That will make it shift fast. Thats what I did on my MSG vette and it worked great. I did not need a trans-go.
AZC5
*.168 is the lowest shift time in the factory PCM program(1-2 WOT). So it is safe. All other PCM shift times are well above that, up to .500. That is a 1/2 second shift, which is kinda slow.

AZC5, talk about a small world eh. What were you having done over there? (Or is it top secret? hehe)
Okay, so here is my 10 minute verdict. We picked up the car at lunch. Since Mark was so nice to do all the legwork for me, I felt the first drive honors should be his. So, I took the truck back to the office, he drove the Vette.
We got back to my office, I jumped in the driver's seat and took it around the block, (No time for anything more.) Got on it a bit, heard it chirp into 2nd and then 3rd. (That's the way it should be!) The shifts are like glass when driving mellow. Step on it, and it would light em up all day. (That's the way it should be!) I won't get a chance to drive it until probably this weekend, but I can't wait to get it out and see the improvements.
We didn't have time to dyno it. Will make another appointment soon.
Thanks to Xtreme and thank you Paul the "tranny guy."
I'm glad I did the Trans-go kit, instead of just an LS1 Edit with a raised pressure line on the stock tranny. This way, the car only shifts when I want it to. I love the manual driving capabilities holding the shifts to any rpm and whatnot. but I do see where you are all coming from to say that I could have just done the LS1 Edit to get similar results. Thanks for the feedback all. Right on!
I just had them do the LS1Edit for temps, fans, etc..
