Default Paging AZ owners

I was wondering if there are any corvette groups/clubs in the valley where the owners actually get together and work on cars or help out with performance mods. I would like to learn more about doing the mechanical aspects of my car instead of always sending it to the shop to get worked on.

There is a group of us called ACE (arizona corvette enthusiasts). We usually have mechanical saturdays to help each other. Why dont you come to our cruise on Saturday. We are going to Tuscan to the missle museum and the maybe hooters for lunch.

Here is the thread for the cruise.

on the ACE group. Great bunch of folks and we all just get together to enjoy our cars. Big thing is it's not a club with dues, officers and all the other . Hope you can make it Sat. Even if you can't make the cruise, come meet us at Krispy Kreme!

The other guys already told you about A.C.E. - here's a web page for you to check out.... http://www.arizonavette.net/

I see by your zip code that you are in the Awhatukee area, I work at 51st & Elliott (same zip!).

Have you ever been up to the Pavillions? (Indian Bend & the 101) A number of us head up there a couple of times a month at least, and the first Saturday of the month is "Corvette Saturday". You'll see 75-100 Vettes starting at about 2:00 p.m. this time of year.

Hope to see you at Krispy Kreme in the A.M.!

That is how A.C.E. got started - owners working on their cars. I met up with a bunch of local guys wanting to learn more about my Vette, do some mods and work on other Vettes. We met at a member's garage (Scottsdale Jack) on Saturdays, got greasy, drank coffee / beer and "bench raced".

Damn I miss those days.

We do get together every so often to do something like that now, but no where near often enough. Last week we did a cam swap on an engine, but nothing real heavy duty. If you don't have the garage and tools, we have members that do, and if the schedule is right, everyone is welcome to my garage for tools and help.

We chat in here and on our own web page / forum at http://ArizonaVette.net - check out the forums and the calendar to find out what we are up to.

Currently a member, Chris (85_ToGo) is working on 2 different 1985 Vettes, with engine builds, swaps and restoration all in progress. We will be doing more work on these in the very near future.

When we are not getting greasy we are cleaning up for the cruises and the car shows. Hooters and the Pavilions are the plan of the day for every first Saturday of the month. There is also a detailing clinic by Meguiar's coming up soon, so sign up for that (see the ACE calendar).

Hope to see you at Krispy Kreme, the Pavilions, Hooters or any other Vette event soon.

Hey Brick, Like BSeery said, we should be going back to Chris's house real soon, it's time to pull the motor and tranny out of his C4...clean up the engine bay, and stab in a 355.

Stay tuned, we will post the time and date as soon as we can work something out.....
