I'm replacing the antenna cable. The old cable on the car has a 6-inch pigtail. Is this correct? The AIM doesn't show a pigtail. The pigtail ends in a round male plug (which is sloppily soldered onto the cable), which theoretically goes into the triangular (sheet metal) female end of the new cable.
The pigtail does NOT want to pull out of the antenna body/base. Is this a matter of using some PB Blaster and pulling harder to get the pigtail out of the antenna? I think the pigtail should come apart from the antenna body about where my right finger is. Or is the pigtail correct?
This stupid detail is holding me up from putting the rear valance and spare tire tub back, after having replaced the rear electrical harness. Any ASAP answers out there?
