Yet another first time Corvette owner joins the ranks. Im reading about it all the time; then it happens right next door to me.

My neighbor Gale really surprised me. As he's nearing retirement he wanted a cool car to drive around. He's never shown all that much interest in Corvettes. In the past he's had early Mustangs and Trans Ams. I assumed he would buy something along those lines.

All of a sudden he starts asking me about Corvettes. Then one day over at his house I notice HE HAS CORVETTE MAGAZINES all around (the excitement is starting to build). Then he asks me to be on the lookout for a C5 :hooray:

He knew exactly what he wanted...

* Vert
* Low Mileage
* 6 sp manual or an A4 with 3.15
* HUD
* Memory
* Yellow or Red.

Within two weeks he calls me and asks if I can take him and his wife at the dealership tomorrow - to take delivery of a Corvette !!!

and get this; it's a Vert, Yellow, HUD, Memory, 2200 miles, A4 with the 3.15 G92 !!!
The owners manual, video tape and CD were still shrink wrapped. I tell ya; this car looked, smelled, and drove brand friggen new. UNBELIEVEABLE !!!

Gale is in the process fo signign up for the forum; and is already reading posts. I am so overwhelmed that he bought a Corvette as his cool retirement car... it is truly amazing. I really didn't know he was even interested until about 2-3 weeks ago.
And he's already asking about events to cruise in.

I'm still in shock, and just had to share this story wilth all of you.

Ya know, a Corvette is the best thing that can happen to a person.
