If you don't want to resize them with software on your pc before uploading to a host, you can use Photobucket as your host and set the max image size to "message board", that will resize you pics to 640 X 480.
If you don't want fool with complicated software and are running XP you can go to Microsoft PowerToys for Windows XP and download "image resizer", with that you can right click on an image file and resize it. It will place a new resized pic in your folder or desktop without altering the original.
