ABCDEFG ...

Frist line all caps.

OK ... If if type the first line only and nothing after it, when I submit the post it automatically changes to all small letters after the first cap letter.

Try typing "ABCDEFG ... " on the first line only with nothing following. I did in the next post ... you can see how it shows up.

GS Ragtop -- can you set your IE7 to a security level below "medium"? That is the lowest setting that shows up on mine. The choices are "medium", "medium-high" and "high" for the standard settings withoud going into the "custom" settings.

Nope, Medium is the lowest, just like yours.

In post #10 above, I typed "ABCDEFG ... " from a laptop that is running IE6.

So what's going on? This is happening with IE7 and IE6 from two different machines.

In post #12 above, I type it ALL IN CAPS ... then when I posted it kept the first letter of each word as caps ... this was from a laptop with IE6.

There is obviously something trying to correct the formatting of the words ... WTH would be doing this!? Is it something with this site, as this does not occur on other sites I use.

Post #14 was typed out in ALL CAPS. Again, it automatically changed it to be just the first letter of each word in caps.

If this doesn't happen with everyone, then it must not be site driven, but be some setting I have going on with two different machines, one running IE6 and one running IE7 giving the same results. Computers .... too many danm settings !!

I have no idea where this could be controlled by.

Post #16 came out as originally typed. Seems if the first line or sentance is typed out all in caps, some grammer tool takes over and does not allow it to happen.

This first sentance only has the first letter in cap. THIS SECOND SENTANCE WITHOUT A CARRIAGE RETURN IS TYPED OUT IN ALL CAPS.

Do you have some sort of IE 'Helper' installed? Lately, quite a few Helpers are installed as part of the installation of freeware/shareware. Maybe it's one of those that is installed on both of your machines...

Not that I know of. When I upgraded to IE7 I didn't load anything on top of it ... just loaded what MS provided. The IE6 on the other machine doesn't have any helper that I know of.

I'm wondering if this is a setting on this website under the user's profile? This is the only website I can make it do the automatic reduction of all caps to just the first letter in each word being capital.
