A DRIVE BY SOUND CLIP.

A drive by of my Friend's 1928 Sedan

1/4 MILE DRAG. 13.83 Sec. & 98.8 mph

running thru the gears (almost the same as the 1/4 mi. except from the passenger seat. Grandson did the videoing.
A drive down 6 mi. hill (towards Tumbler Ridge about 6 miles)

A quick burnout.

Last years (2008) Donuts

This years (2009) Donuts.... a Friends trial run.

My performance:

The honor stripes after the donuts.

Note that it took my Grandson and I...... 6 man hours to get ALL the rubber off of the car. It is actually a LOT worse than it looks.

1947 Chev
Pearl Blue w/ ghost flames. The body and the paint are flawless. A job very well done.
454 cu.in. “Precision” aluminium heads, balanced, moly rings. Says he spent over $6000 on it. Hope to get the build sheet on the motor.
Borg Warner Super T-10 (20 spline) 4sp tranny.
Don't know if this is CAST or ALUM. Been told that the cast is stronger than the aluminium. Also aluminium one is no stronger than a Muncie.
Inline racing shifter
70mph/2500rpm
Ford 9” rear end 4.56 gears “Bear” housing “Bear” Drivelink?
Been told that "Bear" used to be a good brand name product.
Mechnical Clutch
33”(wide) Mickey Thompson Street Strip Tires. don't have exact tire size.
11” disc brakes on front
8 Pt. Roll Cage
Mustang clip for front end
Tubbed aluminum
Says it will do 1/8mi. 90mph/7.0 sec. but no track slip. I believe this translates to 10+ in ¼ mi. ????
THE BAD
Rear motor seal leaks
Tanny leaks
Rear Diff. leaks
Shifter is loose and needs adjustment (possibly more) Being a racing shifter it is hard to shift. Possibly need to replace with a Hurst.
The fuel cell looks in pretty poor shape.
NO interior to speak of. Doors rattle when closing but do close quite well. Insides may need tightening. There are no sweepers on the doors to hold the windows in place and stop them from rattling. Does have a stereo.
Not sure how comfortable the seats are. Possibly have to replace seats if I want to keep it and redo the interior. No idea how much to redo the interior except that I expect it to be a LOT. I was really looking for a cruiser but this is more of a racer. It hasn't been driven much in the past 4 years and figure that is the cause for the leaks. I feel the car has been "driven hard and put away wet" in the past. Not sure what I would do with it after I bought it. Ideally I would like to make a cruiser out of it but think that I would get upsidedown on the cost if I did that. Possibly just flip it if I could.
Here's some pics and a video. tThe best full view of the car is thru the video. The other pics are in a garage with poor lighting.

Trunk

Battery

back seat roll cage

and the video

I know it is hard to put a price on it without actually seeing the car but can anyone at least give me some opinions please.
