Thought I'd post a few pics from the weekend car show in Bernie, MO, for you guys who couldn't be here. Bernie is a small town (1800 population) in the southeast Missouri bootheel.
The first few pictures are of a '72 custom Barracuda built by a local friend of mine (Ron Owens), for another local friend of mine (Glen Baugus). It's gained national attention, note the twin Paxton superchargers on the hemi. Here's a link to the Paxton site with a little info, a Google search using the builder/owner names will also bring up links to articles in a couple of national magazines when the car was displayed this year at Las Vegas, Nashville, a couple of other shows . . . . . http://www.paxtonauto.com/article.php?id=16
Also note the '57 Ford retractable hardtop, I think it's the best retractable Ford I've ever seen. Great car, and voted Best of Show. (The '72 Barracuda was displayed only, not entered).
Great time had by all, . . . . Oh, Yeah. The '59 El Camino with matching trailer is also a local vehicle, owned by another friend. Hope you guys enjoy . . I always do the music every year for the show, lots of '50's and early '60's oldies . . . .
